Avionic Card and Unit Test System

Goal

In order for our customer to use more than 50 avionics card designs with different functionality in useful design verification activities, we need an automated test station with an electronic infrastructure that can test all the requirements. Some examples of designed cards include; avionics communication interfaces, serial channel interfaces, RF and IO signals, protocol generators, audio-video protocol generators and analyzers, high-speed serial communication interfaces and power lines such as PCIe-10G ethernet. In this scope, it is decided to include the countermeasures of the electronic structures and protocols contained in the designs to be tested.

For the functional tests to be carried out in the design verification activities, DEICO has provided the necessary hardware and software infrastructures to our clients through ACUTS.

Solution

The solution is to use a mixture of test items that contain all the properties of the units for which the test is planned. For the functional tests to be carried out in the design verification activities, DEICO has provided the necessary hardware and software infrastructures to our clients through ACUTS. ACUTS will be used in verification activities of multifunctional and high density printed circuit board (PCB) designs. The project also includes interface connection adapters (ICA) for system integration of PCBs. In addition to this, SPI, I2C, UART and one-wire communication interfaces can be prepared and configured in the required special structure and number. By doing so, we have provided a solution specific to the projects.

Result

The infrastructure that enables advanced test capabilities targeted at the destination has been established and technical competence guaranteed. It has been ensured that test scenarios with high density designs such as military units can be implemented. The structured procedure of collecting, reporting and analyzing data has been established.
